Keto Stir Fry

Stir fry may be one of the easiest dishes to add healthy ingredients too.  In this version of Keto Stir Fry, we focus on adding in healthy fat, a key missing nutrient in our American diet.  Healthy fat is needed to make healthy cells, reduce inflammation, absorb vitamins,  lower blood sugar and keep you full.  The great news is this recipe can be fully customized based on your preference.  Once this Keto Stir Fry is prepared my favorite thing to add is 1 tablespoon of MCT oil because of it's health benefits.  MCT Oil is a great add on to any dish especially because it doesn't change the flavor. Enjoy!  

Keto Stir Fry


2-3 tbsp of arrowroot powder

¼ cup coconut sugar or xylitol- for no sugar

¼ tsp ground ginger or thumb size of fresh ginger chopped

3-4 cloves garlic minced, or 1 TBSP garlic powder

½ cup BRAGGS Liquid Aminos

¼ TBSP apple cider vinegar

½ cup water

1 ½ cup vegetable, chicken stock or bone broth—read labels!

Handful of fresh chopped basil

Optional- red pepper flakes for some kick

4 chicken breasts sliced (you can use beef as well)

2-3 TBSP coconut oil for frying

Favorite vegetables of your choice (mine are noted below)

Garnish with fresh cilantro



Combine all ingredients in a jar with a lid and shake well.  Shake before using.  To use your sauce:  Stir fry your chicken breasts in 2 TBSP of coconut oil and then add the vegetables of your choice and fry until your texture is achieved. (I like green beans, broccoli, bell peppers, mushroom, and onions).  Add appropriate amount of sauce for your liking.  Bring to boil for about 1 minute or until thickness has been achieved. You may add more arrowroot powder if you want it thicker. When it is served I like to add fresh cilantro to my dish. You can serve with quinoa or brown rice, or just eat a big bowl of veggies and chicken.
