What is bulletproof coffee?

Bulletproof coffee is the process of adding healthy fats like coconut oil, MCT oil, grass-fed butter or grass-fed ghee to your cup of coffee.  Coffee by itself can have positive impacts on your health.  In fact coffee is just like every other food it has to be consumed in moderation and the quality does matter. Bulletproof coffee gives you the ability to start your day with a high amount of polyphenols (from the coffee) and a good dose of healthy fats to get your body jump started.  This type of routine can help lower hunger, balance blood sugar and reduce craving throughout the rest of your day.  Healthy fats have great health benefits. Bulletproof Coffee 1.0

Ingredients:

  • 8-12 ounces of organic single origin coffee brewed to your liking
  • 1-2 TBSP local grass-fed butter (salted or unsalted your choice)
  • 1 teaspoon - 1 tablespoon of raw coconut oil
Directions:
  1. Make your coffee. Brew 1 cup (8-12 ounces) of coffee using filtered water. Use a French Press or make your own drip method. Make sure to use non-toxic coffee filters.
  2. Add Coconut Oil. Add 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon. Start slow and using raw coconut oil will provide the best health benefit.
  3. Add grass-fed butter. Add 1-2 tablespoons of local grass-fed butter.  Some people may want unsalted butter either is acceptable.
  4. Blend. Mix it all in a blender for 20-30 seconds and enjoy!
 

Bulletproof Coffee 2.0

Ingredients:

  • 8-12 ounces of organic single origin coffee brewed to your liking
  • 1-2 TBSP local grass-fed ghee
  • 1 teaspoon - 2 tablespoons of high-quality MCT oil
Directions:
  1. Make your coffee. Brew 1 cup (8-12 ounces) of coffee using filtered water. Use a French Press or make your own drip method. Make sure to use non-toxic coffee filters.
  2. Add MCT Oil. Add 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon. Using MCT oil can sometimes upset your stomach so start slow
  3. Add grass-fed ghee. Add 1-2 tablespoons of local grass-fed ghee.
  4. Blend. Mix it all in a blender for 20-30 seconds and enjoy!
  This recipe substitutes grass-fed butter for grass-fed ghee. Ghee does not contain the milk protein "casein" so it is a better option for those who are sensitive or choose to avoid dairy.

Keto Coffee

Ingredients:

  • 8-12 ounces of organic single origin coffee brewed to your liking
  • ½-1 TBSP local grass-fed butter
  • ½ TBSP coconut oil
  • 1 TBSP MCT oil
  • 2 TBSP collagen
  • 2 tsp Maca powder
  • 1 tsp cacao powder

Directions:

Place all of the above superfood ingredients in a blender and blend until it’s a magical frothy-looking late latte.
